Senior Center Meals
Meals are served at the Senior Center at 11:30am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only.  If you would like to have a meal please call Vicky from Connections Area Agency on Aging at (712) 279-6900 extension 2025 two days in advance to have a meal.  For example if you want a meal on Monday call Friday, for a Wednesday meal call Monday, and for a Friday meal call Wednesday.

Adaptive Aerobics
The Senior Center will be having Adaptive Aerobics every Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Senior Center. 

Senior Center Newsletter
If you would like to receive the Senior Center Newsletter please stop by City Hall or the Sergeant Bluff Community Center to sign up.  The newsletter will include information about activities, meals, fundraisers, etc. that will be hosted at the Senior Center each month.  If you are unable to stop by please call Gary at (712) 333-1542 or Barb at (712) 251-2427.

 The Srts bus will be available to pick up       
and transport residents in and around
Sergeant Bluff for free, but they must
call at least by 6:00 p.m. the prior day.  The
SRTS bus hours of operation are Monday
through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  It
 will be $2.00 for Sergeant Bluff Residents
to travel to Sioux City and to Dakota Dunes
 one-way.  Please call Siouxland Regional
Transit System (712) 279-6919 to make
your reservation.

Vouchers available for Siouxland Seniors for Farmers Market Purchases
Each Senior meeting eligibility guidelines will receive 10 vouchers for a total value of $30 to be used to purchase fresh, Iowa grown produce and honey.  There is a limited supply of vouchers, available on a first come- first serve basis.
To be eligible for the checks, seniors must be:
  • Age 60 or older on the day they pick up vouchers
  • Have a gross yearly household income of no more than $21,978 ($1,831/month) for an individual or $29,637 ($2,469.75/month) for a married couple.
  • Live in Ida, Cherokee, Monona, Plymouth or Woodbury counties
  • Applications are limited to one per person or married couple.
In Sioux City, vouchers will then be distributed at the Siouxland Center for Active Generations, 313 Cook Street.  Call Connections Area Agency on Aging 2301 Pierce Street, Sioux City, 712-279-6900 or 800-432-9209.
