Report a Concern

The City of Sergeant Bluff investigates reported nuisance and code conditions in accordance with Chapter 50 of the Sergeant Bluff Municipal Code and other applicable City ordinances.

Anonymous complaints are not accepted. Complainant identification is required for follow-up and verification.

Examples of Reportable Conditions

• Accumulation of junk, debris, or discarded materials

• Overgrown grass, weeds, brush, or unmanaged vegetation

• Unsafe, damaged, or deteriorated structures

• Inoperable or abandoned vehicles

• Garbage, refuse, or improper waste storage

• Obstruction of sidewalks, streets, or public right-of-way

• Complaints are reviewed and evaluated based on City Code and inspection priorities.

• Civil disputes between private parties may not be enforceable under City Code.
