GARBAGE
Beginning September 30, 2024 Sergeant Bluff will be utilizing Carrier Container Company for Garbage pickup. This program provides same-day curbside garbage pick up to all residents. Business or commercial pickup is not handled by this service and must be contracted privately.

New Year's Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day should the holiday fall on a weekday, the garbage collection will be a day behind. If the holiday falls on a weekend the garbage collection will not change.
RECYCLING
The City of Sergeant Bluff contracts with Gill Hauling for recycling services. Recycling is picked up every other Thursday. Stop by City Hall to pick up a complete schedule or download the one shown below. A detailed list of acceptable items and non-acceptable items can be found by visiting Gill Hauling's website HERE.
All recyclables should be placed in a Gill Hauling approved container. For recycling questions or to obtain a cart please call Gill Hauling at (402) 404-3035
This program provides curbside pick up for certain recyclable items.
